By now, you have probably seen that I’ve built a little collection of Balmain blazers. They are the most used pieces in my closet after my bags and shoes. That’s why I call the Balmain blazer the equivalent of a classic Chanel bag. The style is timeless with a signature cut and buttons that make the piece a statement and recognizable from a distance.

As I mentioned earlier they come with a hefty price tag but this time of year sales are the best place to look around and invest in one if you’ve been wanting to expand or upgrade your blazer collection.
Balmain blazers take me from daily meetings, brunches with family and friends to dancing all night, helping me always look stylish and put together.
My first Balmain blazer was in black since it’s the most versatile color. My tip when shopping for a Balmain blazer would always be to go try it on first. I typically wear 36 FR size but go for 38 FR in Balmain blazers since the waist and shoulder ratio is a little tricky: they come with structured shoulder pads and can be quite snug in chest area along with a tapered waist. Sleeves can also be quite restrictive due to the non-stretchy wool fabric, so keep that in mind.
Today’s featured look is an example of how you can down-dress the jacket like I did with these summer-perfect lightweight polka dot palazzo pants, which was just the right look for my evening date in Santa Monica.
