Once again, nature’s pink clouds of blossoming trumpet trees served as a perfect backdrop. One of the perks of living in the warmer climate of Southern California is that you get to enjoy green shrubs and blooming vines almost year round. But some of the species are particularly prominent in spring time, adding a nice landscape to the city due to their natural cycle. Wisteria, bougainvillea, jasmine, trumpet trees and lilacs are among of my favorites – some for their picturesque colors and some for their intoxicating smells that saturate the air in the city during the spring months.
As for the look, this dress from Anthropologie is like a perfect canvas. You can easily dress it up with some accessories and fun heels or pair it with your favorite ballerina flats or gladiator sandals for a put-together yet comfortable daytime outfit. Neutral color and a subtle print also give some room for experimenting with color accents if desired.
