Tweed is one of those fabrics that a lot of people associate with dressing up, classic and relatively mature. I sort of agree with that statement but it doesn’t have to be always the case.

Yes it does look elegant hence it’s considered dressy, but the “mature” part these days can be totally downplayed or elevated. Classic tweed jackets can be freshened up by jeans, culottes or structured pants, or even leather or a flowy skirt if you wish.
In my case I went with a lace skirt, leather beret and playful velvet boots to give the look a young and romantic feel.
