The whole inspiration behind today’s featured look comes from the current Gucci SS’16 collection and a new solo vision of mastermind Alessandro Michele. It’s a Rock ‘N Roll Renaissance with rich fabrics and colors where flora and fauna creatures come to life, metallic finishes shimmer with a golden touch, fun rainbows meet preppy nautical, berets and bow ties provide the perfect accents, sky-high flashy platforms dance with timeless loafers and so much more.
While I am drooling and contemplating to add some of my favorite pieces from Gucci SS’16 to my wardrobe, I tried to play with what I currently have and recently added to my closet as part of that inspiration. The play of the rich hue of the Pinko coat and hummingbird print against the metallic finish of the Zara skirt, which is a total steal that helps to achieve the look without breaking the bank looks great – especially when paired with the classic (new favorite) Celine bag in crisp white, emerald green vintage blouse, 70’s inspired Chloe sunglasses and bright red tassel pumps by Aquazzura.
Are you feeling inspired by the current SS’16 trends and creations? To me, some designer houses might have left out something this season and the collections seem to be a little on a sleepy side and repetitive while others like Gucci and Fendi are definitely stealing the spotlight at the moment.
