As promised, my take on the good ol’ trench is finally here since we are slowly but surely heading into cooler months. I personally find the trench a very versatile piece which you can totally resort to not only when the weather forecast shows showers, but also when you are in need of a layer which not only works with everything but also makes everything look great – your boyfriend jeans, dress, skirt.

As much as I love the traditional trench, I love a statement one to give it a new dimension. You may not be able to wear it as often as the the classic but you can definitely have some fun with it.
As for the color it’s totally up to you as to which palette is up your alley. I wanted to really go bold so pink was a great option here. I am not one of those who stays clear of pink, though I am really particular about the pink’s shade and what it does to your complexion. This cool-toned pink trench from Zara was a great option to have some fun without breaking the bank. I also own a statement piece from the Burberry Prorsum line that came with a heftier price tag, but in a more subdued color, a most gorgeous blue which is quite lux and fancy but serves my needs as a great layer quite often for such a piece compared to a fun pink one.
So it’s totally up to you. You can always test a trend before committing to splurge or just give the heart what it wants and move onto a next obsession with or without damage to your bank account.
