Another interesting fact about me: 1/2 of my shoe closet consists of boots and booties. They are not the most practical shoe type to collect living in LA since you only get to wear them on a limited number of days out of two seasons which are already pretty mild in Southern California, but everybody has their own favorites.
My tip to those of you who are new to OTK type boots and are unsure and intimidated by the whole look of them is to invest in a good pair of suede ones to start with. By good ones, I mean made of good quality suede material with a good structure. In my opinion, they happen to look more sophisticated and elegant and can be worn for both daytime and evening looks.
As for my favorites for OTK boots – they are my favorite Italian designer houses like Casadei, Gianvito Rossi and Gucci who have just mastered their craftsmanship to perfection along with some other great ones I own in my collection from Saint Laurent, Brian Atwood and Stuart Weizman.
